Meet Your Guide

Welcome to The Big Sky Backpacking. My name is Skyler Genazzi, founder and guide. With hundreds of miles hiked throughout the Bitterroot and Rattlesnake Wilderness, I’m passionate about creating memorable, safe, and personalized outdoor experiences for individuals and small groups.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Montana and work as a licensed educator during the school year. My backpacking journey began in 2017, and I now hike and backpack year-round whenever conditions allow. Hammock camping is a personal specialty across all four seasons, though all camping styles can be accommodated.
